One of the most exciting this about having a pilot's license is the ability to fly to smaller airports, closer to a final destination. Large airlines don't and can't fly to smaller cities like St. George, UT, Lake Havasu, AZ, Kingman, AZ, Victorville, CA, Palmdale, CA, etc. This leaves a under served market for people to get to their final destinations. Additionally, it is much faster and more convient to fly closer to a final destination than to go to a large commercial airport and still have to drive 1-2 hours to get to the final destination.
There are plenty of jet services that will take you to those locations for a couple of thousand dollars, but for the middle-class, that is unaffordable. In many parts of the country, there are air taxi services. I have not found an air-taxi service here in Las Vegas that specializes in transportation and not scenic flights. My question is whether or not there is a market for air taxi in small general aviation planes. Please comment and let me know what you think.
